Our Summer Music Workshops offer students the chance to explore creativity, collaboration, and confidence through hands-on music-making. Designed for different ages and experience levels, these workshops encourage students to try new skills, express their ideas, and connect with others in a fun and supportive setting.

From songwriting to improvisation, each workshop blends structured guidance with imaginative play, helping students grow musically while enjoying the process. Led by experienced instructors, these sessions are ideal for students looking to deepen their relationship with music, experiment beyond weekly lessons, and discover new ways to create and perform.

Materials are provided, and all workshops are designed to be welcoming, engaging, and inspiring—whether students are just beginning or ready to take their next creative step.

Starting Point Songwriting Workshop

Curious about writing your own music? The Starting Point Songwriting Workshop is the perfect introduction for young musicians who want to turn their ideas into real songs. Students will explore the building blocks of songwriting—such as melody, rhythm, lyrics, and song structure—while drawing inspiration from pop, rock, and jazz styles.

Through guided activities and creative prompts, students will spark their creativity and begin crafting original songs in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Getting Unstuck: Songwriting Workshop

Feeling stuck in the songwriting process? This workshop is designed to help young composers move past writer’s block and gain fresh momentum. Led by Miss Leah, students will engage in partner activities and group workshopping to develop ideas, refine lyrics, and strengthen musical choices.

Whether students bring a song-in-progress or start from scratch, they’ll leave with new tools—and renewed confidence—to keep moving toward a stage-ready song.

Drummin’ and More: Improv Workshop

Improvisation is the art of creating music in the moment—and it’s a powerful way for young children to express themselves, tell stories, and explore their imagination. In Drummin’ and More, students will join Miss Leah for three playful, high-energy workshops filled with musical games, jam sessions, and on-the-spot “mini-song” creation.

This workshop is designed especially for young learners and requires no prior music experience. Instruments are provided—just bring your curiosity and creativity!
